IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, TH2H supports Project Esperanza (PE), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit which earned its 7th consecutive year being a top-rated nonprofit!

PE primarily serves Haitian immigrant youths living in at-risk conditions in the outlying communities of Puerta Plata, providing education, social aid and community development.

In this concluding school year, PE provided education for nearly 200 students, ages 6 - 17, and staff and volunteers also ran a Group Home for Boys and programs that include vocational training, a fair trade art shop, a cacao farm and two youth soccer teams.

Dr. Gilbert checks the condition of a young boy's heart at a mobile health clinic. Skin conditions are common in Haiti due to a lack of access to clean water and environmental and nutritional issues.

IN HAITI, TH2H's support is coordinated through Outreach to Haiti. I suggest directing your donation, as possible, to support the efforts of my friend, Dr. Wilkens Gilbert. Dr. Gilbert is one of ~130 surgeons who serve a nation of approximately 12 million. I've had the honor of witnessing Dr. Gilbert's impact in person and your support helps programs he oversees, including a mobile health clinic and a pediatric nutrition program.
